THE WOMAN IN ME is a film that brings to life the memory and experience of two amazing women who share the journey of their lives with the audience. These stories are interwoven with poetic and visual representation of the ways that women are pushing boundaries towards empowerment. THE WOMAN IN ME also explores the political and social analysis of the challenges to African society in the context of women’s emancipation movements around the world. The film observes the intricate changes as expressed by these Rwandese women who have decided to take their destiny into their own hands, encouraging other women around the world to take heed – celebrating and bringing to life the strength and power of a woman.
